When Dylan was in college, a mentor of his told him that everyone has a story to tell. That includes you–you have your own story to tell and you tell it better than anyone.

If this is the first time you’ve heard something like that, don’t be afraid. There is a way out and Dylan is committed to helping you make sense of your unique story as you walk this rambling road called life.

To do this, he uses a combination of two therapy modalities: cognitive behavioral therapy and a person-centered approach. Dylan believes this combination enables clients to experience measurable change in their life through tracking the patterns their thoughts, feelings and behaviors perpetuate while simultaneously feeling they are walking with a guide, rather than being dragged along. Cognitive-behavioral therapy represents the first part of the previous sentence, while a person-centered approach resembles the second part. Together, these therapy modalities can help you.

We all have annoying thoughts and festering feelings. Sometimes, we feel like we can manage and sometimes we feel as if life is too strenuous and overwhelming. Dylan believes his job is to meet you where you are and galvanize the warrior inside you. This allows for the experience of joy and your version of success. Collaboration is the greatest strength we have in our therapeutic relationship. His commitment to you is that he will create a warm and empathetic space while presenting the challenges you face in such a way that you can see hope as a feasible option.

Dylan has experience working with age groups ranging from adolescents to elderly adults, utilizing individual and group models. He has worked in settings ranging from private practice to inpatient and partial hospitalization. Dylan provides care for a wide array of clinical illnesses including all types of depression and anxiety, PTSD, somatic symptom disorders and Bipolar disorder, with a pointed passion for offering Christian counseling services for those who suffer from faith-based and religious/spiritual issues.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife while they play pickleball, exercise and read together.
