Ben is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor. He has been counseling since 2008 and enjoys helping people achieve their personal goals. Ben provides an open, honest, and caring environment and works to be sensitive to clients’ unique needs, encouraging change without pressure or judgment.
Ben works with people with individual problems and people with relationship problems. Ben loves working with teenagers and their families. Adolescence is a difficult period of life for many reasons, and Ben works with teens and their families to adjust to and overcome the challenges that arise. Ben also enjoys assisting couples in communicating more effectively, healing divisions, and helping them parent as a team.
Typical issues Ben works with include: stress, depression, low self-esteem, thoughts of suicide, feeling overworked, lack of communication or connection with a spouse or other family members, developing social skills, and overcoming anxiety and fear. Sometimes, the problem is that drastic changes have happened that are hard to adjust to, such as moving, getting remarried (or having a parent remarry), and losing a job.
Through a variety of approaches, including family and couples therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, Ben helps clients obtain the necessary tools to reach the goals they have for themselves.
Ben believes that every person can live a satisfying and meaningful life, and his goal is to help empower and assist others in achieving this in their lives. Ben would be glad to walk alongside you and support you if you would like the opportunity to improve something in your life.
