Dr. Nate Funk received his undergraduate degree from Creighton University and his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas, TX.
His passion for pediatric and family chiropractic started in chiropractic school while preparing for the birth of his son, studying the impact stress has on the nervous system and its effect on childhood brain development. It led to his internship at a world-renowned brain injury institute in Dallas and completion of a combined 200+ hours of seminar and continuing education in pediatric analysis, pediatric developmental neurology, full spine and upper cervical spine analysis.
Dr. Nate was born and raised in Sioux City, IA, now lives in Cedar Park with his wife, son, baby girl, and boxer Apollo. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, hunting, fishing, attempting home improvement projects, watching Notre Dame football (stressfully), cheering on his alma mater – Creighton basketball, and doing anything outdoors.
He was inducted into both the Creighton University Athletics and Iowa High School Athletics Hall of Fame for his standout basketball career. He played professional basketball in Germany and Turkey following his collegiate career. During chiropractic school, he volunteered at Dallas Parish Episcopal School as a varsity basketball coach.
