Gabriela Mandujano is a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is passionate about teaching her clients how to foster autonomy and rely on themselves in the time of crisis. She believes in honoring where the client is in their life while developing the tools and resources within themselves and in their support system to practice acceptance while developing determination for growth.
Gabriela has extensive experience working with psychiatric and behavioral outpatient facilities including mental health, eating disorders, addiction, and family systems from children to adults. Her experience and education has allowed her to gain an ample amount of knowledge in multiple aspects of mental health including, but not limited to; mood disorders, anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorder, psychosis, addictions, trauma, grief and loss, parenting/co-parenting issues, dating/relationships, suicidal ideation, and self-harm urges/behaviors. Gabriela has taken on an eclectic approach using evidence-based modalities to better serve the needs of individuals, couples, and families including Reality Choice Therapy (RCT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).
Gabriela has seen change occur when clients embrace the dark parts of life as much as they embrace the light parts. Change can be terrifying despite how much we may want it. Gabriela is honored to walk this journey with you whether that means having ambivalent feelings about change, unsure of where to begin, and to take a leap of faith to see change occur. She believes human beings have a right to create a life where they are heard and valued by asserting their needs and having open, healthy communication with loved ones while also accepting what is out of their control.
