Kristina Dyer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor intern (LCDC-i) who is passionate about guiding individuals to embrace vulnerability and grow from difficult life circumstances. Kristina’s cornerstone is meeting clients where they are and developing interpersonal support that will equip individuals to heal from their past and navigate desired change. Kristina strongly believes that in order to truly understand who we are today, we must first understand where our core beliefs and values developed. She will help explore the life course and challenge her clients to discover pivotal moments and thought patterns that keep us from living a life in which our self-esteem and self-worth reflect in everyday decision making.
Kristina’s background has ranged from working with transitional living in homeless population, residential treatment for substance abuse, psychiatric inpatient and outpatient settings including mental health, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Her experience has allowed her to navigate various concerns such as; dual diagnosis, mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, mood disorders including depression, anxiety, Bipolar, psychosis, suicidal ideation, couples and relationships, grief and loss, domestic violence and life transitions.
Kristina utilizes various methods of therapeutic intervention including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).
In her free time, Kristina, along with her husband and their two fur children love exploring the outdoors. Together they enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking, and checking off mountain ranges they have visited. Kristina also enjoys reading, cooking/baking, DIY projects, and decorating.
