Kimberly West is an experienced counselor who has provided mental health care for people of a variety of ages and life stages, mainly through non-profits. She received her B.S. at Dallas Baptist University and her master’s degree in counseling at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She focuses on the connection between emotional, physical, and spiritual health using a person-centered approach. She strives to create a safe and welcoming environment, especially for those clients who may be hesitant or unsure about counseling. Some of the therapies Kimberly employs are Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Brainspotting. For clients who desire Christian Counseling, she incorporates Christian beliefs, values, and practices into the counseling process.
