About

Roxana Chavez, MSW, LCSW, is a compassionate mental health provider dedicated to supporting adults as they navigate life’s challenges with care, understanding, and respect. She offers a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel seen, heard, and valued—especially to those who face diverse physical, emotional, and environmental challenges.
With a strong commitment to culturally responsive care, Roxana specializes in working with individuals experiencing suicidal ideation, trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. She also brings a thoughtful and grounded approach to supporting men’s mental health, recognizing the unique pressures and expectations that can make it difficult to seek help.
Roxana integrates evidence-based practices with an attachment-tuned, holistic, faith-informed perspective for clients who wish to incorporate their spirituality into the healing process. She understands how early relationships and life experiences shape emotional patterns and works collaboratively with clients to build secure, meaningful connections. She is also experienced in providing disability-competent care, ensuring that all clients receive respectful, inclusive, and empowering support tailored to their lived experiences.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Roxana strives to reduce barriers to care and create a space where clients can express themselves fully in the language they are most comfortable with. She believes that healing happens through connection, authenticity, and collaboration, and is honored to walk alongside clients as they move toward greater peace, resilience, and purpose.
Who are you are best positioned to serve?
I am best positioned to serve adults who are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression, particularly those who are seeking a space that is both culturally responsive and grounded in genuine human connection. I work especially well with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, including Spanish-speaking clients, who may be looking for a therapist who understands the importance of language, identity, and lived experience in the healing process.
What areas you feel are your biggest strengths?
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and validated. I use humility, active listening, and if appropriate, humor so as to build a strong, trusting relationship so that you can show up as your full self without fear of judgment.
What's your favorite part about being a therapist?
My favorite part about being a therapist is helping clients reach moments of “aha!” through building insight and walking alongside them towards hope and relief from difficult thoughts and beliefs.
What can clients expect?
Clients can expect to be met with humility and with where they are in their emotions, while also being challenged to “think outside the box” for more adaptive ways of thinking.
Why did you join Curis?
I joined Curis due to the unique opportunity of working alongside medical healthcare professionals for a holistic approach to care. Also, I read and heard great things about the expanding company.
