About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of professional experience in mental health and education. I spent the majority of my career in the school system as a Special Education Teacher and School Counselor. In these roles, I worked closely with elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as staff, families, and community members to provide critical support during challenging times. In my private practice, I work with clients both individually and in group settings. I have extensive experience helping individuals navigate ADHD/neurodivergence, anxiety and stress management, depression and mood struggles, grief and loss, and cultural issues/identity.

Treating you with respect, dignity, sensitivity, and compassion is the absolute core of my practice. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, I tailor our counseling sessions and your treatment plan to meet your specific, unique needs and goals. When you work with me, we are a team. We will work collaboratively to figure out what you want to achieve and build a path to get you there. I truly enjoy helping others and view it as a calling. I’m honored to walk alongside you on this journey.

Who are you are best positioned to serve?
As a therapist, I enjoy working with a diverse group of people individually and in groups. We learn from one another and grow together.
What areas you feel are your biggest strengths?
In the past, I have had the opportunity to help individuals in these areas: ADHD and neurodivergence Anxiety and stress management Depression and mood struggles Grief and loss Cultural issues and identity
What's your favorite part about being a therapist?
As a therapist, I believe that it is important to help the client determine and achieve their goals. It is exciting to watch them build confidence and achieve success.
What can clients expect?
As a therapist, I want the client to recognize their strengths. They can then use those strengths to determine and achieve their goals. This will help them to build skills that can be used in the future when they come against challenges, obstacles, and struggles.
Why did you join Curis?
As a therapist, there are times when a client may need additional support and services to heal. At Curis, they will be able to receive additional support from other practitioners and professionals to help them. It is wonderful to receive those services all in the same place.
