About

“You see what it takes to keep living in today’s world. What used to work may no longer make sense, yet the demands of change, work, family, and daily life do not let up.”

Alexia Antoine is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10 years of experience supporting adults across telehealth, outpatient, inpatient, correctional, and community-based settings. She helps clients slow down long enough to identify what is actually happening, define what they want, and work through the patterns that keep them caught in the same problem loop.

Alexia is especially equipped to support anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, trauma, career concerns, stress-related issues, women’s issues, multicultural concerns, and racial-identity exploration. Her approach is direct, thoughtful, and collaborative. She asks the questions that help clients name the real issue, recognize their options, and build practical next steps.

Alexia completed her Master of Arts in Counseling at Dallas Baptist University. Her clinical approach may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Somatic Therapy techniques, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Reprocessing, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, and multicultural therapy approaches. Faith-integrated and Christian counseling are also available for clients who want their spiritual life included in the work.

Trained in EMDR, Alexia helps clients understand and work with the brain’s capacity to process trauma. Her clinical training, personal mental-health history, and experience as the daughter of an immigrant inform a practice that is both compassionate and honest about the complexity of people’s lives.

Who are you are best positioned to serve?
I am best positioned to serve adults navigating complex life demands, stress, trauma, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, career concerns, women’s issues, multicultural experiences, and racial-identity exploration. I also work well with individuals who want to integrate their spiritual life or Christian faith into therapy, as well as those looking for an honest, practical approach to processing trauma through evidence-based methods like EMDR.
What areas you feel are your biggest strengths?
My biggest strengths lie in providing a direct, thoughtful, and collaborative environment where clients can address complex life challenges. Drawing from 10 years of experience across telehealth, inpatient, outpatient, correctional, and community settings, along with my clinical training, personal mental-health history, and background as the daughter of an immigrant, I bring deep empathy, cultural awareness, and practical problem-solving to every session.
What's your favorite part about being a therapist?
My favorite part of being a therapist is helping clients slow down enough to make sense of what is actually happening in their lives. I love guiding people as they uncover the patterns keeping them stuck in problem loops, explore their options, and gain the practical clarity needed to navigate change, work, family, and daily life with confidence.
What can clients expect?
Clients can expect to leave sessions with a clearer understanding of the root issues behind their struggles, a fresh perspective on their choices, and actionable next steps to break unhelpful cycles. They will gain practical tools drawn from evidence-based modalities like CBT, EMDR, and Mindfulness, empowering them to respond effectively when old ways of coping no longer work.
Why did you join Curis?
I joined Curis because I believe therapy should be an empowering, action-oriented space where real change happens. As a therapist who is direct, challenging, and solutions-oriented, I value Curis’s collaborative approach to care. The platform allows me to partner with adults who are ready to break out of unhelpful loops, face hard truths, and build practical strategies for long-term growth and wellness.
