About

Robin Pearson, M.A., AMFT (Supervised)
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and move toward meaningful, lasting change. I work with adults (18+), with a strong focus on couples, relationship dynamics, and individuals seeking greater emotional clarity, balance, and personal growth.
My approach to therapy is both supportive and goal oriented. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore your experiences openly. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Gottman-informed methods, Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques to help you better understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships while developing practical tools for change.
In addition to my clinical training, I have over 30 years of experience supporting and walking alongside individuals from diverse backgrounds through a wide range of life challenges. This has shaped my ability to meet clients with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. For those who desire it, I am open to incorporating faith into the counseling process; however, I always honor and respect each client’s personal beliefs and values.
I became a therapist out of a genuine passion to help people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain find clarity, healing, and direction. My goal is to support you in building healthier relationships, strengthening your sense of self, and creating meaningful progress in your life.
As a supervised associate, I work under the guidance of a licensed supervisor and remain committed to ongoing professional development to provide ethical, high-quality care.
If you’re ready to begin the work of growth and change, I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
Who are you are best positioned to serve?
I am best positioned to support adults who are ready to gain clarity, improve their relationships, and move forward from feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about their next steps in life. I work especially well with individuals and couples navigating communication challenges, relationship conflict, life transitions, anxiety, and patterns such as people-pleasing or difficulty expressing needs. I have a strong interest in working with couples who desire to strengthen their connection, rebuild trust, and develop healthier ways of relating to one another. My approach is well-suited for clients who value a supportive yet structured environment where they can be both understood and gently challenged toward growth. I also welcome clients who may be open to incorporating faith into their journey, while always respecting and honoring diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and life experiences.
What areas you feel are your biggest strengths?
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood, while also being guided toward meaningful change. I bring a balance of warmth and empathy with a clear, goal-oriented approach that helps clients not only process their experiences but also take practical steps forward. I am especially skilled in helping individuals and couples recognize patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and then work collaboratively to develop healthier ways of communicating, coping, and connecting. My years of experience walking alongside people from diverse backgrounds have strengthened my ability to meet clients where they are, while offering both support and gentle challenge to help them grow with confidence and clarity.
What's your favorite part about being a therapist?
My favorite part of being a therapist is having the opportunity to walk alongside people as they navigate some of the most challenging and meaningful moments of their lives. I truly value creating a space where individuals and couples feel heard, supported, and understood without judgment. There is something deeply rewarding about helping people gain clarity, strengthen their relationships, and begin to see themselves and their situations with new perspective and hope. Being able to support others as they move toward growth, healing, and a greater sense of confidence in their lives is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
What can clients expect?
Clients can expect to leave sessions with greater clarity, practical tools, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. My goal is to help you not only process what you’re going through but also identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop healthier ways of thinking, communicating, and responding. Over time, clients often gain increased confidence in expressing their needs, improved communication in their relationships, and a stronger sense of direction in their lives. You can also expect to feel supported and challenged in a way that encourages real growth, so that what we work on in session translates into meaningful change outside of it.
Why did you join Curis?
I chose to work with Curis Functional Health because of its commitment to a truly holistic approach to care. The integration of chiropractic services, mental health, and nutrition aligns strongly with my belief that overall wellness cannot be achieved by addressing only one aspect of a person’s health. I value the understanding that the mind and body are deeply connected, and that challenges in one area often impact others. Being part of a team that approaches care in a comprehensive and collaborative way allows me to support clients more effectively, helping them experience healing and balance across the entirety of who they are rather than focusing on isolated concerns.
