Who are you are best positioned to serve?
I serve clients ages 15 and up.
What areas you feel are your biggest strengths?
I would say my #1 strength is my ability to show emphathy and be non-judgemental. During initial sessions with clients, I immediately let them know that there is nothing I haven’t heard before or seen before that would make me give them the “side eye.” My ability to build rapport with clients effortlessly would be another strength of mine. I feel I am funny, and my sense of humor is a big part of my personality, and I’ve noticed that it works well in sessions and helps break the ice.
What's your favorite part about being a therapist?
My favorite part would probably be watching people have those “aha” moments—when something just clicks and they start to see themselves or their situation in a new light. Like witnessing emotional puzzle pieces snap into place. Also, being able to help someone feel truly seen and heard in a way they might not get anywhere else? That’s powerful.
What can clients expect?
My clients will be able to learn and identify new insights about their thoughts, emotions and behaviors and be able to recognize patterns of triggers that contribute to challenging behaviors. My clients will be able to gain clarity of personal problems that may be overwheleming and confusing to deal with alone. They will have a reframed perspective on situations, relationships, and even past events. Ultimately, my clients will learn how to set specific, realistic goals and gain a sense of progress toward long-term goals.
